A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives – including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” shares the best moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and reveals who did the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the series, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition with people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least bring it up to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was being brought in for the project, which sparked interest from other notable actors. Eventually, Goldstein spoke with Ford and sold him on the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but was excited nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique story. The acting was amazing. I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows their vulnerability and uses humor to create spiritual growth. There are a lot of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, mildly funny cute moments, and laugh-out-loud moments in Shrinking. I hope they keep making more seasons of this because the character development justifies it. Is it perfect? No. But none of us are. I think the overuse of swearing takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are trying to make the show feel exciting. I personally don’t think it needed to be. That’s why I gave it an 8. Definitely worth watching.
